Deirdre Louw (Deirdre)

Nurse Practitioner
Deirdre completed her Nursing Diplomas in South Africa. She moved to Australia in 2004 the following year to pursue her nursing career completing her Masters in Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) in 2006. Diedre has been working as a Nurse Practitioner in a variety of roles since qualifying giving her several skills and experience.

As a Nurse Practitioner, Deirdre is able to work independently to assess patients, order and interpret blood tests, x-rays and other diagnostic tests, as well as prescribe medications and refer to other healthcare providers.
She has a special interest in primary health care, women's health (including cervical screening and breast screening), child & family health and health education.

Please note: Nurse Practitioners are currently not able to provide Workers Compensation Certificates, do driver or employment medical and Care Plans.
